محمد كامل حجاج: كاتبٌ مصري، عمل بالمحاكم المختلطة شطرًا كبيرًا من حياته. تمتَّعَ بذوق رفيع؛ حيث كان له هوًى برعاية الأزهار النادرة، والموسيقى الشرقية. أجاد اللغة الفرنسية، وله عددٌ من الكتب منها: «الموسيقى الشرقية ماضيها وحاضرها ونموها في المستقبل»، و«بلاغة العرب»، و«نباتات الزينة العشبية»، و«خواطر الخيال وإملاء الوجدان». تُوفِّي عامَ ١٩٤٣م.
Book Description
الموسيقى هي لغة الروح التي بها تتخاطب فتتجاذب، وأنها من أكبر الذرائع لتطهير النفوس، إن سألنا العلماء عن الموسيقى أجابونا بأنها فن تركيب الأصوات بطريقة تُشنِّف الأسماع، أو قالوا لنا: إنها فن الأصوات وارتباطها باللحن والوزن والانسجام.
وإن سألنا الشعراء قالوا لنا: إن الموسيقيَّ لينظم بالأصوات كما ينظم الشاعر بالحروف، وإن سألنا علماء النفس البسيكولوجيين أجابونا بأنها: قوة فتَّانة ساحرة، وفنٌّ يُعبِّر به الإنسان عن وجدانه وشعوره بأنغام أفصح من النطق، وأبلغ من البيان، وأقرب منهما تناولًا للأذهان.
وقد اتفق علماء النفس على أن الكلام غير كافٍ للتعبير عن الشعور تعبيرًا تامًّا، وأن الموسيقى وحدها هي القادرة على سد هذا النقص.
