إسرائيل شاحاك (بالعبرية:ישראל שחק) (28 أبريل 1933 - 2 يوليو 2001) هو إسرائيلي بولندي. ولد في وارسو في بولندا، وهو من الناجين من الهولوكوست. عمل محاضراً في الكيمياء في الجامعة العبرية في القدس. وهو رئيس سابق لأحد الجمعيات الإسرائيلية المعنية بحقوق الإنسان والحقوق المدنية. عرف عنه نقده الصريح للحكومة الإسرائيلية وللمجتمع الإسرائيلي على وجه العموم. كما أن كتاباته حول اليهودية أثارت الكثير من الجدل، وقد وصفه البعض بالمعاداة السامية على إثرها.

يُحلّل شاحاك, كتاب اليهود الذي يحوي تشريعاتهم فـي الدين والدنيا (التلمود), وتأثير التعاليم والتقاليد اليهودية في دولة إسرائيل, التي يريد اليمين الإسرائيلي برأيه, تحويلها إلى دولة دينية لليهود حصراً. وهو يقدّم نقداً ممتعاً للنزعة الاستبدادية فـي الديانة اليهودية, ويبيّن كيف تحاول هذه الديانة عقلنة ما هو غير عقلاني. ويُظهر التناقضات فـي النصوص الدينية. ويعرض شاحاك للقوانين التلمودية التي تحكم العلاقات بين اليهود والأغيار, والتي لا يمكن من دون أخذ تأثيرها في الحسبان أن نفهم الصهيونية والسياسة الإسرائيلية وتأييد يهود الشتات لإسرائيل, وهي قوانين تُبلور نظرة خاصة إلى العالم. ويقدّم شاحاك تعريفاً للدولة اليهودية ولإيديولوجية «الأرض المستردَّة». ويبيِّن كيف يكون التوسُّع الإسرائيلي، بحوافزه الإيديولوجية اليهودية, أكبر من خطر السياسات القائمة على اعتبارات استراتيجية محض.
