تحذير: أثناء قراءتك لهذه الرواية إذا ظهر لك ضوء ساطع فحاول الهروب بسرعة, كل الذين ظهر لهم هذا الضوء اختفوا.
"طارق بشير".. الشخص المسالم الذي كان جالسًا في شرفة منزله يشرب الصودا الباردة في منتصف الليل, فجأة يظهر له ضوء ساطع كالشمس لثوان قليلة ثم يختفي تاركا طارق في دهشة وقد وجد مشروبه البارد أصبح دافئا والأغرب من ذلك هو رجوعه بالزمن لساعتين.
فجأة يجد "طارق" نفسه متورط في جريمة قتل لم يرتكبها, بعد التحقيق يتم الحكم على طارق بالإعدام شنقًا وأثناء تنفيذ الحكم تختفي جثة طارق التي سقطت في الغرفة السفلية للمشنقة أمام الجميع مع ظهور ضوء ساطع يشبه ضوء الشمس.
المفتش المسئول عن التحقيق "جمال فتحي" يتولى البحث عن جثة طارق والبحث في ملف القضية عن الأدلة.
هي رواية مهمة يصعب توقع نهايتها, بها الكثير من الاكتشافات والحقائق المدهشة كعادة دكتور نبيل فاروق دما في تقديم وجبة علمية دسمة مع كل كتاب جديد.
