وعلى شرفة ليست ببعيدة يجلس سامي يتأمل نشاطها وسباقاتها، يضحك لشجارها ويحاول معاكستها، كانت هذه عادته الصباحية وكأنها جزء من إفطاره. على عكس نصوح إبن الجيران الذي يحاول إخافتها كلما رآها بل ويسخر من سامي بأن عقله بحجم عقل هذه العصافير.
