نظام الملك (408 - 485 هـ = 1018 - 1092 م)
الحسن بن علي بن إسحاق الطوسي، أبو علي، الملقب بقوام الدين، نظام الملك: وزير حازم عالي الهمة. أصله من نواحي طوس. تأدب بآداب العرب، وسمع الحديث الكثير، واشتغل بالأعمال السلطانية، فاتصل بالسلطان إلب أرسلان، فاستوزره، فأحسن التدبير وبقي في خدمته عشر سنين. ومات إلب أرسلان فخلفه ولده ملك شاه، فصار الأمر كله لنظام الملك، وليس للسلطان إلا التخت والصيد. وأقام على هذا عشرين سنة، وكان من حسنات الدهر.
قال ابن عقيل: كانت أيامه دولة أهل العلم. اغتاله ديلمي على مقربة من نهاوند، ودفن في أصبهان ومن المنشورات الحديثة (أمالي نظام الملك في الحديث - ط)
