إبراهيم بن محمد بن محمد كمال الدين ابن أحمد بن حسين، برهان الدين ابن حَمْزَة الحُسَيْني الحنفي الدمشقيّ:
محدث نحوي، من صدور دمشق. ولد بها وتعلم وولي بعض الأعمال وسافر الى مصر، فأخذ عن علمائها، وسافر إلى الروم وولي نقابة الأشراف بمصر عام 1093 ثم النقابة بدمشق مرات. وبلغ عدد شيوخه ثمانين شيخا. وتوفي قافلا من الحج بمنزلة تسمى ذات الحج ودفن بها. له كتب، منها (البيان والتعريف في أسباب ورود الحديث الشريف - ط) جزآن، على حروف المعجم، و (حاشية على شرح الألفية لابن المصنف) لم تكمل
