المعونة في الجدل كتاب ألفه "أبو إسحاق إبراهيم بن يوسف الفيروز أبادي الشيرازي" بعد تأليفه "للمخلص في الجدل" في أصول الفقه، وقد أراده تلخيصاً له كما يذكر ذلك في مقدمة المعونة في الجدل، فيقول: "لما رأيت حاجة ماسة إلى معرفة ما يعترض به من الأدلة وما يجاب به من الاعتراضات ووجدت ما عملت من الملخص في الجدل مبسوطاً صنفت هذه المقدمة لتكون معونة للمبتدئين وتذكرة للمنتهين مجزية في الجدل كافية لأهل النظر, وقدمت على ذلك باباً في بيان الأدلة ليكون ما بعده من الاعتراضات والأجوبة على ترتيبه".
هذا وقسم الشيرازي الكتاب إلى الأبواب التالية: باب بيان وجوه أدلة الشرع، باب الكلام على الاستدلال بالسنة، باب الكلام على دليل الخطاب، باب الكلام على استصحاب الحال، باب ترجيح الظواهر، باب ترجيح المعاني.
وما يميز هذه الطبعة في كتاب المعونة هو أنها قد جاءت مذيلة بتحقيق حيث اعتنى المحقق بتخريج ما جاء في المتن من أحاديث وبتذييل المتن ببعض التعليقات العامة التي تشتمل على أسماء الأعلام من الصحابة، والتابعين والأئمة والفقهاء المتكلمين... أما في المقدمة فعرض بإيجاز لمتن كتاب شرح اللمع، والوصول، والكتابين للشيرازي، كما وقدم نبذة سريعة عن الحياة السياسية والدينية التي كانت سائدة في عصر الشيرازي، وبعدها تعرض للمؤلف ذاته من حيث التكوين والتدريس والتأليف.
