محمد بن الحسن الشيباني (131 - 189 هـ = 748 - 804 م)
محمد بن الحسن بن فرقد، من موالي بني شيبان، أبو عبد الله:
• إمام بالفقه والأصول، وهو الذي نشر علم أبي حنيفة.
• أصله من قرية حرستة، في غوطة دمشق، وولد بواسط، ونشأ بالكوفة، فسمع من أبي حنيفة، وغلب عليه مذهبه وعرف به وانتقل إلى بغداد، فولاه الرشيد القضاء بالرقة ثم عزله.
• ولما خرج الرشيد إلى خراسان صحبه، فمات في الري.
• قال الشافعي: (لو أشاء أن أقول نزل القرآن بلغة محمد بن الحسن، لقلت، لفصاحته) ونعته الخطيب البغدادي بإمام أهل الرأي.
له كتب كثيرة في الفقه والأصول، منها
• (المبسوط - خ) في فروع الفقه [طُبع]
• (الزيادات - خ)
• (الجامع الكبير - ط)
• (الجامع الصغير - ط)
• (الآثار - ط)
• (السير - ط)
• (الموطأ - ط)
• (الأمالي - ط) جزء منه،
• (المخارج في الحيل - ط) فقه
• (الأصل - ط) الأول منه،
• (الحجة على أهل المدينة - ط) الأول منه،
ولمحمد زاهد الكوثري (بلوغ الأماني - ط) في سيرته (1)
