حيان بن خلف بن حسين بن حيان الاموي بالولاء، أبو مروان: مؤرخ، بحاث، من أهل قرطبة.
كان صاحب لواء التاريخ في الاندلس، أفصح الناس بالتكلم فيه، وأحسنهم تنسيقا له.
من كتبه (المقتبس في تاريخ الاندلس - خ) مجلدان منه، ويقع في عشر مجلدات، طبع جزء منه في سيرة الامير عبد الله ابن محمد الاموي بقرطبة وأحداث عصره.
وله (المبين) في تاريخ الاندلس أيضا، أكبر من المقتبس، وكتاب في (تراجم الصحابة) وجد منه الجزء الثالث .
