اليزيدي (228 - 310 هـ = 843 - 922 م)
محمد بن العباس بن محمد، أبو عبد الله: من كبار علماء العربية والأدب ببغداد.
وهو حفيد (يحيى بن المبارك ، ويحيى هذا سكن بغداد، فصحب يزيد بن منصور الحميري (خال المهدي) يؤدب ولده، فنسب إليه وهذا سبب تسميتهم باليزيديين).
استدعاه في آخر عمره المقتدر العباسي لتعليم أولاده، فلزمهم مدة.
له كتب، منها (الأمالي - ط) و (مناقب بني العباس) و (كتاب الخيل) و (مختصر النحو) و (شرح ديوان قطبة بن أوس، الحادرة - ط) قطعة منه، و (أخبار اليزيديين)
