ابن الخَيَّاط (000 - 735 هـ = 000 - 1335 م)
أحمد بن الحسن بن محمد الدمشقيّ، مجد الدين ابن الخياط
شاعر، له (ديوان) في عدة مجلدات مات في دمشق (1).

Book Description
أبو عبد الله أحمد بن محمد بن علي بن يحيى بن صدقة التغلبي، المعروف بإبن خياط، الشاعر الدمشقي الكاتب، يتصل نسبه بتَغْليب وهي قبيلة من ربيعة من العرب العدنانية.
ولد ابن الخياط بدمشق سنة خمسين وأربعمائة، كما ذكر ذلك هو نفسه، وكان أبوه خياطاً، فاشتهر بالنسبة إليه، ودخل ابن الخياط طرابلس وهو شاب لا يعتمد إلا على كفاءته في الشعر وطبعه الفياض وما حفظه من شعر المتقدمين، إذ أن بضاعته في آلات العربية من نحو وصرف ومعان وبيان وبديع وعروض بضاعة مزجاة.
لما عاد ابن الخياط إلى دمشق كان ملكها يومئذٍ تاج الدولة تتش بن ألب أرسلان السلجوقي، وكان وزيره هبه الله بن بديع الأصفهاني فصحبه وكان أثيراً عنده، قال ابن القيسراني: وقَّع هبة الله بن بديع أبو النجم لإبن الخياط بألف دينار وهو آخر شاعر في زماننا وقع له بألف دينار.
وسافر معه سنة 487 إلى الري وأنشده هناك قصيدة مدحه بها، أولها: "أَيا بَيْنُ ما سُلِّطْتَ إلاَّ عَلَى ظُلْمِي... وَ يا حُبُّ ما أَبْقَيْتَ مِنِّي سِوى الْوَهْمِ".
وتوفي بدمشق في حادي شهر رمضان سنة 517 سبع عشرة وخمسمائة، ولم تعين المقبرة التي دفن فيها ولعلها مقبرة الباب الصغير لقربها من داره.
هذا الديوان لم يحط بجميع شعر ابن الخياط، بل جمع على سبيل الإختيار مما إرتضاه الشاعر لنفسه وأجاز روايته عنه وأسقط ما سواه، وعرض أبرز ما دوّنه من شعر فيه المواضيع المختلفة من غزل ورثاء ومدح وذم.
