Book Description
كان يعملُ في شركةٍ للمبيعات ليعيلَ أُسرته المؤلّفة من أبٍ وأمٍّ وأخت، يعمل ليسُدَّ ديون أبيه الّتي أحنت ظهره. فهو "الابن الطَّيب" طالما يقومُ بواجبه على أكملِ وجه، وأيُّ تبدّلٍ في هذا يصحبه غضبٌ ونبذٌ وإهمال. وفي مكان عمله الّذي وجد نفسهُ مُرغمَاً على التَّعايش معه، تظهرُ بشكلٍ واضحٍ حالة التَّسلّط والتَّحكّم من قبل رئيس الموظّفينَ من جهة، ليقابلها من جهةٍ أخرى حالةُ الخنوع والرُّضوخ منه.
في الواقع هو يحملُ رغبةً لاواعيةً بأن يطرد من عمله لكنّهُ يخافُ على أُسرته.. ومن هنا تنشأ حالةُ انفصام الشَّخصيّة، إذ أنَّ نموذَجيْ الأبِ القاسي ورئيس العمل يمثّلان المبدأ السُّلطويَّ المُتحكّم، وهذا ما يُثيرُ في نفسِه الخُضوعَ وروحَ التَّمرُد معاً.
حاول أن يتَّبع القوانين، أن يكون ولداً مهذّباً، أن يكون عقلانيّاً كما وصفه مديره في العمل.. وبين كُلِّ هذه المحاولاتِ الصَّادقة نجدهُ وقد فقد نفسهُ تماماً، وبدأ يعيشُ أزمةً وجوديّةً مثيرةً للعجب!
فهاهو يستيقظُ من كوابيسه في أحدِ الأيّام ليجدَ نفسه قد تحوّلَ إلى "حشَرةٍ" مقزّزَة!!
ظنّ للوهلةِ الأولى أنَّه ما زال يحلُم، وداخل فوضى الأحداثِ ولا معقوليّتها كان بحاجةٍ لدليلٍ قاطع يُؤَكد له صحّة الحدث، وهذا ما حصل عليه عندما وجد أسرتهُ مصعوقةً ومُرتعبةً من هَول الحادثة، عندها أدرك واقعيّة الحدث فهتف قائلاً: "لا، إنَّه ليس حلماً"..
