تدور أحداث الرواية من ثمانينات القرن الماضي وحتي سنة 2011 ، بمدينة الإسكندرية ، عن امرأة مسيحية تعمل بمجال الكيمياء ، تزوجت من أستاذ فلسفة والذي قتل بعد عدة شهور من زواجهما في جريمة هي الأكثر غموضا بأوائل التسعينات ، آلت لها الأقدار أن تكون أم لتوأم متشابه تماما لكنهما مختلفي الديانة ، أحدهما مسلما والآخر مسيحيا ، فما السبيل إليها في تربيهما ونشأتهما ..؟ جمعت (محبة ) مع كونها مسيحية الديانة فهي صوفية الهوى متنورة تؤمن بالإنسانية ، ظلت السيدة مريم العذراء تراودها بمنامها لثلاثين عاما ، توصلت في بحثها ( إنسانفرينيا ) والتي حازت بسببه على نوبل في الكيمياء إلى عقار يسمى (brain eternity ) لزراعة الذاكرة داخل العقل البشري . وكيف إكتشفت المخابرات المصرية علاقة مقتل أستاذ الفلسفة منذ عشرون عاما بالصفقة المليارية لسرقة بحث نوبل وعلاقة هاتين الجريمتين بأحداث تفجير كنيسة القديسين بنهاية عام 2010 .
