في هذا الكتاب البحثي ، حاولت الكاتبة أن تفترض أن "الحكاية الشعبية" بمثابة (حلم يقظة) الشعوب.. هذا هو الحلم المشترك للإنسانية في حياة أفضل ، يعوض عن فشلها ومعاناتها.. وقد اقتصرت هذه الدراسة على حكايات الجان والخوارق تحديدا.
