إن أهم ما يراد الوصول إليه من وراء هذا البحث هو الإشارة إلى الربط بين العوامل النفسية والجسمية والاجتماعية فيما يرجع إلى الصراع النفسي، فإن الكثير من الأطباء يغفلون النواحي النفسية والاجتماعية في تشخيص بعض الأمراض المزمنة التي لا تؤثر فيها المركبات الكيميائية ا، لتي قد تخفي علامة المرض دون أن تقضي على سببه الأصلي.
