محيي الدين بن عربي ، قمة شامخة في سموقها الرائع، شامخة بأسرارها وعلومها وإلهاماتها، قمة هي أعظم ما وصل إليه الخيال الْمُحَلِّق في ميادين العلم والفلسفة والدين، قمة قد أحاطها صاحبها بالصعاب والمشاقِّ والتهاويل، حتى غدا الوصول إليها ضربًا من كفاح لا ينتهي، وغدا المرتقَى قاسيًا مرهقًا حتى لجبابرة الأجنحة.
قمة تدفع عنها الضعيف المتخاذل، بل وتردُّ أيضًا عن سرِّها القويَّ المناضل، إنها لَقِمَّة الذوق والتذوق؛ فهي في حاجة أوَّلًا إلى الذوق والتذوق.
وإذا كان الأصمعي يقول: إن الكِتَاب أشبه بساحات الملوك، يقع فيها الجوهر والذهب والتراب والنوى، فساحة محيي الدين كالمحراب، لا تقع فيها إلا على دُرٍّ مكنون، أو سِرٍّ مصون، أو نورٍ موهوب؛ لأنها ساحة فوق قمة، قمة متطلعة إلى السماء وهدى السماء.
