جلس شاب في العشرين وبين يديه قيثارة يضمها إليه برفق كما تضم الأم رضيعها، كان نحيلاً، في وجهه وسامة محت بعضها الأحزان، شَعر رأسه مجعد يكاد يصل إلى كتفيه. كان يعزف بكل حواسه مأخوذًا، وحركات رأسه لا تتوقف كأنها آلة برمجت لتعمل على إيقاع واحد، يعزف مرددًا كلمات أغنية أنا مواطن للطفي بوشناق. مع نهاية الأغنية كان أغلب من يقف بين الحشد تتصاعد أنفاسه ببكاء مزموم، كانت العيون تدمع دموع الحرقة والضياع. شعرت بفداحة خسارتهم، ألّا تجد بيتًا يؤويك ويضيع وطنك في لحظة من بين يديك، ثم تجد نفسك تائهًا هائمًا على وجه الأرض. أحسست بألم من يعيش في أرض غريبة ضيفًا ينتظر الرحيل، ذلك الانتظار الطويل الذي يقطع الأنفاس، عرفت أن الضيف يبقى ضيفًا، ويومًا ما يضيق به مضيفوه، والوطن يبقى وطنًا صدرًا حنونًا دافئًا يؤويك كما آوى أجدادك دون أن يضيق بهم ذرعًا. الوطن يبقى وطنًا وإن عبثت على صفحات تاريخه البيضاء الكلاب ولطَّخته بالسوّاد. غالبتني دمعة ساخنة انهمرت رغمًا عنّي واجتاحت القشعريرة جسدي كلّه. رمى فنّان المخيّم كما أحببت أن أسمّيه بالقيثار جانبًا، وراح يمسح دموعه بأسى، والناس تواسيه وتربت على كتفه مثنية عليه.
