Book Description
الشاعرة عائشة تيمور، هي بنت إسماعيل باشا تيمور، كان أبوها مقرباً من البلاط الحاكم عاصرت حتى الخديويين إسماعيل وتوفيق ، ولدت سنة ١٨٤٠ م بمدينة القاهرة ، وكانت تميل إلى حب تعلم القراءة والكتابة. وقد آنس منها والدها هذا الميل، فأحضر لها اثنين من الأساتذة أحدهما يعلمها الخط والقرآن والفقه، والآخر يعلمها الصرف والنحو واللغة الفارسية. وقد أتمت حفظ القرآن الكريم .
تزوجت من السيد توفيق زاده، عام ١٨٥٤ م وعمرها أربعة عشر عامًا، فتفرغت للشئون الزوجية، ثم تاقت نفسها إلى الأدب والعلم، فبرعت وأتقنت نظم الشعر.
تعلمت اللغة التركية، التي أخذتها عن والدتها ووالدها، ووضعت في الشعر ثلاثة دواوين باللغات العربية والتركية والفارسية، وألفت في النثر كتابين هما: «نتائج الأحوال» و«مرآة التأمل في الأمور» ، وقد توفيت السيدة عائشة تيمور عام ١٩٠٢ وهي في سن الثانية والستين.
تناولت مي زيادة سيرة حياتها ، وما واجهته من صعوبات وتحديات في تلك الحقبة الزمنية التي كانت النساء لا يتمتعن بقدر من الحرية والتنوير .
