لكل أمة.. ولكل شعب.. ولكل جماعة بشرية، تاريخ يتغنون به، وغالبا ما يسلطون الضوء على الجوانب النيرة فيه، من شجاعة وبأس وفروسيةٍ، ويحاولون.. قدر الإمكان.. الهروب من النقائص والسلبيات المجتمعية.
ولكن الحقيقة تبقى حقيقة، حتى لو غمرها التاريخ بطينه ووحوله.
ليس العيب بأننا خلقنا ووجدنا بمجتمع مليء بالنقائص والسلبيات، ولكن العيب.. كل العيب.. أن نكون شهود زور على هذا التاريخ.
إذ لابد من دراسته وتحليله لمعرفة مكامن الخطأ ومعالجتها، وأسباب التقصير وتجاوزها.
فلا يمكن لأمةٍ من الأمم، أن تقوم بإصلاح الخلل وسد النقص، إلا إذا شعرت بالحاجة إليه، فما بالك إذا تمثل هذا الخلل باضطهاد ممنهجٍ لنصف المجتمع "المرأة"؟!.
لا لشيء إلا لأنها أنثى، لا لشيء إلا لأن قدرتها العضلية أقل من قدرة الرجل.
ولذلك لابد من تسليط الضوء على مشكلة اضطهاد المرأة في العالم تمهيدا للوقوف على آفاقها، والبحث عن أساليب معالجتها، علنا نساهم في بناء لبنة في جدار تحرير المرأة من هيمنة المجتمع الذكوري بشكل عام، وفي مجتمعنا بشكل خاص، فالناظر لحالة المرأة العربية عموما والمسلمة خصوصا، لا بد له من الاستنتاج بأن تحرير المرأة أصبح حاجة ملحةً إذا أردنا لمجتمعاتنا التطور والرقي.
