وصحافة الأمة العربية كغيرها من صحافات الأمم الأخرى لها تاريخ ملئ بالحوادث والخطوب، ملئ كذلك بالأفكار والآراء والمبادئ، ملئ بالتيارات الفكرية والأدبية والفنية والاجتماعية، وهو تاريخ مضيء في أكثر جوانبه، ولكنه مظلم في جوانبه الأخرى.
