الرحلة الأولى للبطل السومري مع صديقه انكيدو من أجل قتل (خمبابا) الوحش الأسطوري، فتكون رحلة (للقتل) مهما كانت دوافعها، ومهما كانت اغطيتها التبريرية المؤلّهة، لكن الحطّاب في (رحلته الثانية) يأخذنا معه لا لكي يبحث عن (عشبة الخلود) التي ما تلبث ان تسرقها الأفعى منه، بقدر ما يبحث عن أهله الفقراء، والشاعر هنا يثير عبر إشارات واضحة وأخرى مغلقة، وثالثة محرّفة، تداعيات وإرتباطات تستدعي – بالإيحاء او المشابهة او المناقضة- مرتكزات ذلك المخزون الأسطوري المرجعي عبر المقابلة الظاهرة او المستترة.
