رواية مسرحيّة للكاتب إبراهيم المازني، مُثّلت مسرحيّةً على أرض الواقع. وتنطوي حكايتها على العلاقات الإنسانيّة بين الرّجل والمرأة، ومدى فهم كلٍ منهما لكينونة الآخر، رغم أنّهما خُلقا لبعضهما البعض إلّا أن هنالك من تستعصي عليه كيفيّة فهم الطّرف الآخر، فمنهم من ليس لديه أدنى فكرة عن المرأة مثلًا إلّا كونها أنثى.
لا يتحقّق الوفاق بين الرجل والمرأة إلا إذا فهم كل منهما طبيعة الآخر، وأدرك ما وراء متطلّبات الغريزتين، وإذا حلّ الشّقاق بينهما فهو دليلٌ على قصورٍ في الفهم لدى أحد الطّرفين، وقد تتوسّع الجفوة عن طريق أسباب أخرى، ولكن من المحقق أن العجز عن إدراك مطالب الغريزة النوعيّة لدى المرأة يؤدّي إلى إفساد العلاقة، ومن الرجال من يتمتّع بفطرةٍ ذكيّة تخوّله أن يسلك سلوكيّاتٍ مرضيةً للمرأة، ومحبِّبًا لديها دون أن يعرف السّبب وراء هذه السّلوكيّات، إلّا أنّها انبثقت من فطرته.
تتعرّض الرّواية لشخصيّتين رئيستين هما فؤاد وزوجته ليلى، ويظهر حامد، وهو ابن خالتها، وحربي ابن عمّ فؤاد، وفريدة عاملة المنزل، وغيرهم من الشّخصيّات.
