بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.
Book Description
قصة "ضحايا الهند"، وهي الجزء الثامن من سلسلة روايات روكامبول، لمؤلفها بونسون دو ترايل، تطرح العديد من القضايا الجوهرية، من بينها كيف أن حياتنا الشخصية تتشكل بناءً على المعتقدات الدينية الخاصة بنا، وكيف أنها هي التي تتحكم في العديد من تفاصيل حياتنا، والتي قد تكون ظالمةً أحياناً، خصوصاً إن فُرضت علينا دون حولٍ لنا ولا قوة، وقد حدث هذا فعلاً في الهند الإنجليزية، حيث أصبح الهنود بسبب التعاليم الدينية التي اعتقدوها، والتي تعود لآلهتهم التي يؤمنون فيها، هنوداً متمردين "خناقين"، يخنقون الرجال والنساء الأوروبيين حين يقعون بين أيديهم، ومن جهةٍ أخرى يتطلب إحضار أطفال الأعداء لإحدى آلهتهم، حيث يتعرّف الخناق على هؤلاء الأطفال عن طريق الوشوم التي تنتقل إليهم من أمهاتهم وآبائهم، حيث تدور أحداث هذه الرواية عن وُشوم الآلهة "كالي" التي تُوشم بها الفتيات، وعن كم المعاناة التي كانت تعانيها الفتيات بسبب هذا الوشم، حيث يحتم عليها أن تبقى عذراء طوال حياتها، وإلا سيتم قتلها من جماعة "الخناقين" هي وذريتها وزوجها، وجميع الأشخاص الذين سعوا في هذا الزواج، ويحاول روكامبول في هذه القصة أن ينقذ فتاتين من الخناقين، خصوصا صان عصابته تحول لإفادة البشر.
