محمد لبيب البتنوني (و.؟ - ت. 1357 هـ = 1938م)، هو رحالة ومؤرخ مصري في عهد الخديوي عباس حلمي باشا الثاني. ومن أشهر أعماله الرحلة الحجازية.
حياته
ولد في بتانون (في محافظة المنوفية حالياً)، مصر. وتوفي في القاهرة عام 1357 هـ.

Book Description
مجموعةٌ من الرسائل والمقالات للمؤرخ محمد حبيب البتنوني، وهي تتضمن جملةً من خواطر الكاتب التي صاغها في رحلته إلى الأندلس، وقد سجّل فيها عدّة مشاهدات للأندلس، ظهرت فيها معالم الأندلس القديمة، ونقاط تقاطعها مع إسبانيا الحديثة.
جاءت فكرة الكتاب بعدما جمع المؤرخ رسائله التي كان يرسلها من موطن رحلته في أوربا إلى جريدة «الأهرام»، فنشرها تحت عنوان «جولة في إسبانيا»، كما أضاف إليها ما تكمل به فائدتها، وزاد عليها كلمة تتناول تاريخها مبتعدًا عن كل ما يؤثر في العاطفة الدينية أو القومية، أو إلى ما يدعو إلى التطرف في المدح أو النقد.
اشتمل الكتاب على رسومات أضافها المؤرخ تحتوي على بعض من صور الآثار الجميلة التي تركها العرب في الأندلس، كما اشتمل على صور جغرافيّة لإسبانيا والبرتغال وفرنسا تتضمن مواقع البلاد التي وصل إليها الفتح العربي.
احتوى كتاب «رحلة الأندلس» على تذييل للرسائل شكّلت قاموسًا موجزًا لكل ما ورد من أسماء البلدان التي كانت في عهد العرب وما يقابلها بعدئذٍ من الأسماء الفرنسية.
