يتطرق في هذا الكتاب إلى عدد من الرحلات التي قام بها ،ويبدأ رحلته من بلاد الحضارة الأوروبية، حيث يجوب عددًا كبيرًا من دول القارة العجوز؛ مثل دول الشمال «السويد والنرويج»، ثم ينتقل إلى «إنجلترا وأيرلندا ورومانيا وتركيا». وبعدما ينتهي من بلاد الحضارة الحديثة ينطلق إلى بلاد الشام، حيث الأصالة وعبق التاريخ في «سوريا ولبنان وفلسطين». ثم يسافر إلى بلدان المغرب العربي، ومنها إلى مجد الحضارة الإسلامية الغابرة بالأندلس. ويواصل رحلته بعد ذلك للأراضى المقدَّسة مهد الرسالة؛ حيث يبدأ شعائر الحج. ويستكمل بعدها رحلته إلى «العراق وإيران وأفغانستان»، ثم يعرِّج على مجاهل أفريقيا «أثيوبيا وكينيا وممبايا». ثم يتجه إلى بلدان النهضة الحديثة في الشرق الأقصى «الهند واليابان». ثم أمريكا الجنوبية، ويختتم رحلته بأمريكا الشمالية في «الولايات المتحدة وكندا» وبعض جزر المحيط الهادي.
