«تاريخ الطب عند الأمم القديمة والحديثة» كتابٌ في الطّب، أعدّه المؤرّخ عيسى إسكندر المعلوف، تناول مواضيع متعدّدة تختصّ بالطّب، وقد كان الكتاب حصيلةَ محاضرتين ألقاهما الكاتب في المعهد الطبي في دمشق، وذلك في تاريخَي (4-18) آذار من سنة ١٩١٩م.
تناول تاريخ الطب منذ وجوده إلى أيام العرب، و نشأته في عهد المصريين القدماء، حيث نجحوا في مجال التحنيط، ثمّ تحدّث عن الطب عند العبرانيين، الذين انحصر الطب عندهم في الكهنة والمشترعين والملوك كما كان في مصر، لأنّهم اقتبسوا الصّنعة من تلك البلاد.
تناول الطبّ عند البابليين والآشوريّين والكلدانيين، وعند السكيثيين والتتر، كما تحدّث عن الطبّ لدى الفُرس والهنود والصينيّين، والترك، والأحباش الذين أخذوه عن الطب المصري الذي شاع في إفريقية، وكانوا يمزجونه بأديانهم في زمن دولتهم القديمة الإثيوبيّة.
تحدّث عن الطبّ لدى اليونانيين، ثمَّ عرِّج عليه عند الرّومان، و المسيحيين والمسلمين. وشرح أهميّة دراسة الطبّ والتشريح في ملحق للكتاب، يوضّح فيه تعريف الطب وأقسامه وأصوله، وأهمَّ اصطلاحات العلوم الطبيّة.
