عبد الرحمن عبد الرحمن سيد أحمد البرقوقي، المعروف ﺑ «عبد الرحمن البرقوقي»: أديب وناقد مصري، ولد بمحافظة الغربية عام ١٨٧٦م، تعلَّم في الأزهر الشريف، ودرس على يد الشيخ المرصفي، كما استفاد من دروس الإمام محمد عبده. أصدر بحُرِّ مالهِ مجلةً شهرية سُميت بمجلة «البيان»، وكان يكتب بها العديد من عمالقة الأدب أمثال العقاد والمازني وشكري وغيرهم. وللبرقوقي العديد من المؤلفات؛ منها «شرح ديوان المتنبي» و«شرح ديوان حسان». وقد توفي عام ١٩٤٤م.
Book Description
«الفردوس» كتابٌ في النّثر من الأدب، تأليف عبد الرحمن البرقوقي، يتخيّل فيه رحلةً إلى الفردوس، ويقول إن ما دفعه إلى كتابة هذه الحكاية هو قراءَته لرسالة الغفران للمعري،بعدما أعطاه مخطوطها الشيخ إبراهيم اليازجي، كلّفه الناشر المشهور «أمين هنديه»أن يصحّحها ويضبطها بالشكل الكامل، كي يخرجها للطباعة، فأشار عليه بأن يسلّمها لعبد الرحمن البرقوقي، ففعل، قرأ الرسالة، ثم عمل على ضبطها، ووقع في سحر رسالة الغفران، وكان من أثر هذا السحر أن فكر في عمل ينحو فيه هذا المنحى، من جهة المظهر والمبنى، لا من ناحية الخبر والمعنى، وأحتذي فيه على هذا الحذو البديع، فكتب «الفردوس أو سياحة في الآخرة»،
خشي ألا يلاقي الاستحسان بدايةً لما يغلب على بعض مواضعه من الغريب والصّناعة البيانيّة، من تشبيه واستعارة وسجع وازدواج، وتضمين واقتباس ووصف مسهب، وما إلى ذلك مما قد ينبو به الذوق.
في هذا الكتاب زار البرقوقي الجنّة ممتطيًا براقًا، واستقبله خازن الجنة (رضوان)، ثم اغتسل في عينٍ نقيّة، ودخل بعدها الفردوس.
