بونسون دو ترايل: روائي فرنسي، معروف بكتاباته في أدب المغامرات.
ولد ألكس بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٢٩م، بمدينة مونمارتر الفرنسية. عُرف بإنتاجه الأدبي الغزير، فقد أنتج ثلاثة وسبعين مجلدًا خلال عشرين عامًا. تنتمي أعماله الروائية المبكرة إلى الأدب القوطي، وعندما بدأ في كتابة «سلسلة روكامبول» قام بنشرها في جريدة يومية، وهي سلسلة من القصص المنتمي لأدب الغموض والمغامرة، وقد مَثلت هذه السلسلة تحوله من الأدب القوطي إلى الأدب البطولي الحداثي.
وقد توفي بونسون دو ترايل عام ١٨٧١م.
Book Description
قصة "ابن أرلندا"، هي الجزء الثاني عشر من سلسلة روايات روكامبول، لمؤلفها بونسون دو ترايل، وتبين هذه القصة كيف أن الجمال في كثيرٍ من الأحيان يكون نقمةً على صاحبه وليس نعمة، فلو أن الأم لم تلفت بجمالها الأخاذ جميع الناظرين إليها، ولو أن "رالف" ابنها صاحب الشعر الأشقر والوجه البهي لم يكن جميلاً، لما دَحرجتهم الأقدار إلى الحياة البائسة، حيث تدور أحداث هذه الرواية في "إنجلترا"، حيث تركت الأم بصحبة ابنها وطنهم "أرلندا" وذهبوا إلى إنجلترا، ومنذ أن وصلوا إلى إنجلترا ووطئت أقدامهم عتبات أبوابها، حتى أعجب بجمال الأم شخص اسمه السير "بالمير"، وسعى بكل قوته كي يصل إليها، كما أن "فانوش" التي تعتبر شيطانةً من شياطين الإنس، استطاعت أن تخطف الإبن، ووضعته عند إحدى العائلات الغنية، بعدما كذبت عليهم وأَوهمتهم أن هذا الطفل ابنهم، كما حاولت قتل الأم الحقيقية، لكن الله غرس الرحمة في قلوب قاتليها بعد أن شاهدوا جمالها الفتان، ولأن الحق لا يضيع ما دام صاحبه يطلبه مهما طال الزمان وتغير المكان، يعود "ابن أرلندا" لأمه من جديد.
