يعالج هذا الكتاب موضوع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتّصالات ويربطها بتعليم مهارات اللّغة الأجنبية، مع التركيز على فهم الواقع العربي في تدريسها مقارنة بالغرب. لذا، سنحاول، لاحقًا، تحديد ماهيّة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتّصالات، وأهميّتها، وأدواتها في المجال التّربوي باعتبارها أداة مهمّة في التّعلّم. وسوف نرى عددا من الدراسات التي درست مدى تأثيرها في رفْع مستوى القراءة في اللّغة الإنكليزيّة، وفي التّعبير الكتابي، والتّواصل الشّفهي، والقواعد النّحويّة والإملائيّة، وكذلك في تعزيز دافعيّة التّلاميذ التي نبدأ بها من المنبهات الخارجيّة (التّكنولوجيا) لتصبح، في ما بعد، دافعيّة داخليّة في شخصيّة التّلميذ. لنصل في نهاية الكتاب إلى بعض الاستنتاجات والتوصيات حول السبل المثلى لاعتماد التكنولوجيا في تعليم اللغة، مع بعض الآفاق المستقبلية حول الدراسات التي نحتاجها في عالمنا العربي للفهم الأمثل للتكنولوجيا التي غزت حياتنا اليومية بكل مرافقها.
