حائز على جائزة الشعر العربي 2005 ـ من جريد الرياض بالمملكة العربية السعودية، صدرت له خمس مجموعات شعرية آخرها "أهوال العدو" (2009)، ودراسات في الثقافة العربية آخرها: "ما وراء الوجه: سياسات الكتابة وثقافات المقاومة" (2010)، وهو صاحب رواية "سورة الرياض" (2007) عن دار الفارابي التي حققت أعلى مبيعات في معرض الكتاب الدولي بالرياض 2008.

.. أشرت إلى أنها خطوة جيدة لتساهم في مجال اجتماعي حيوي بعيداً عن الشرنقة الوظيفية حيث أخبرتها أنني أمارس تصميم بعض المواقع من أجل كسر الروتين والتدرب على معرفة خط سير تفكير واهتمام الناس.. "على فكرة عندك استعداد عاطفي راح تهتم بأحد..".

.. فكَّرت بكلامها جيداً وتذكرت من عرفت من فتيات: هدى.. العنود.. المضطربتان، ونسرين التي سددت بابها ما إن شعرت أنها تمتعض من تصرفاتي العنيفة كما تسميها..
-"لا ما يصلح كذا مع البنات.. ، شف لِكْ شباب زَيِّكْ..".
.. أي استعداد عاطفي، يا لمياء.. ؟.
.. إذا كان فعلاً، فلمن سيكون، وإلى أين سيصل..؟.
