صخب هذا الاستعباد حطَم حاضرنا وحكم على مستقبلنا باليأس؛ فيجب أن ينتهي على أقرب أجل؛ أنا لم أفعل أي إنجاز يحملني لدور البطولة؛ ولكن موقفي النبيل هذا بعدم تجاهل الأباطيل؛ وعدم مناصرة الظالمين ومحاولتي لنصرة المظلومين هم من ينصرونني .إنني لم أظلم أحدا، ولم أقتل، ولم أستبد، ولم أفعل أي شئ من هذا القبيل الضار، إن ما فعلته فقط كان من أجل الرحمة والخلاص ليس أكثر، هذه المركة التي دخلتها هي جهاد النفس قبل أي شئ، لأن كل العقول والظروف والنفوس مهيئة للخراب، وأنا أحاول جاهدا أن أمنع ذلك، إن بداية هذه المعركة رغم مساوئها وصعوباتها فقد أبقت الكثير مني على قيد الإنسانية والضئيل من أعمار بعضهم على قيد الحياة.
