Book Description
تحاول رواية "كل الأشياء" لبثينة العيسى أن تفكك علاقة الفرد بالسلطة، سواء تمثلت هذه السلطة في الأدب، أو الدولة، أو النظام العالمي.
الرواية تتساءل عن جدوى مجابهة المنظومة، وإذا كان يمكن للفرد أن يوجد خارجها أصلًا، أم أنه، في أحسن الحالات، ترسٌ في ذات الآلة التي يحاولُ تفكيكها.
تبدأ الرواية من لحظة عودة "جاسم العظيمي" إلى الكويت، بعد غياب أربع سنوات، لحضور مراسم دفن والده. حيث يجدُ نفسه مضطرًا إلى مواجهة ذاكرة عامرة بالهزائم، وعالم بلا أفق، ومستقبل مسروق.
هذه رواية عن الصراع بين الأجيال، والبحث عن المعنى الحقيقي لكلمة وطن، عن سقوط الشعارات، عن جدوى النضال ومسؤولية الوجود في ذاتها، عن الكتابة بصفتها طريقة للمعرفة، وعن كل الأشياء التي يواجهها المرء في طريقه إلى استعادة ذاته.
