Book Description
مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير من الأمراض التنفسية التي تصيب الخنازير في الأصل، ومنها ينتقل إلى البشر من إنسان إلى آخر. ولذلك، تكمن خطورة المرض في سرعة انتشاره بين البشر؛ إذ إن نوع الفيروس المنتشر حالياًّ في العالم يعتبر من الأنواع متوسطة الضراوة. وتشبه أعراض مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير أعراض مرض الأنفلونزا العادية؛ لذا فإنه يصعب تشخيص المرض دون إجراء الاختبارات المناعية. ولا يوجد حتى الآن نظام علاجي محدد لمعالجة الحالات المصابة بالمرض سوى استعمال مضادات الفيروسات، ومن أشهرها عقار التاميفلو. ولذلك؛ تعكف معامل وشركات الأدوية في الوقت الحاضر على إنتاج لقاح خاص للوقاية من حدوث المرض إلا أن طاقاتها الإنتاجية لا تكفي لإنتاج ملايين الجرعات من اللقاح لتحصين عدة بلايين من البشر حول العالم. وهذا ما يثير قلق وتخوف العلماء من أن يحدث تحور لفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير المنتشر حالياًّ بين البشر في العالم. ومن ثم، يتحول إلي نوع جديد أشد ضراوة وأكثر خطورة. وعندئذ، يمكن أن تكون نسبة الوفيات بين البشر عالية للغاية. ويعرض الكتاب - بصورة وافية - الفيروس المسبب للمرض وكيفية حدوث التغيرات والطفرات التي يمكن أن تطرأ على فيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير، كما يستعرض الكتاب كيفية انتقال العدوى بين البشر وطرق الوقاية والعلاج بالإضافة إلى إستراتيجية مكافحة المرض في حالة تحوله لا قدر الله إلى الصورة الوبائية بين البشر.
