في رّواية (أسمى من الحبّ) تستوقفك اللّغة ذات الإحساس والحساسيّة، تنقر من ماء القلب، فيظهر أثر ذلك على العين، فتذرف الدّمع، تذرفه في أكثر من موقف، في موقف التّخلّي عن الحبيب من أجله، وفي موقف التّخلّي عن الكرامة من أجله، وفي موقف التّخلّي عن الرّوح من أجله أيضًا، إنّها رواية التّضحيات، التّضحيات الّتي تستمرّ إلى ما بعد الموت كما في رسالة بطلتها (أمل) في موقف القبور مع (أسماء)، وتلك هي المعاني العميقة الدّقيقة المُعتّقة للحبّ، الّتي تقتربُ في سِحرها وغموضها من سماوات الخيال، وتسمو إلى مثاليّة لم تعدْ موجودةً في زماننا، أو قُل إنّها صارتْ مُستغربةً في مجتمعاتنا؛ ولكنّه الحبّ، ومَنْ يستطيع أنْ يُفسّره أو يتوقّع ما يحدث عنه أو ينجم بسببه!
الرّوائي أيمن توفيق قادرٌ على أنْ يشقّ طريقه إلى الذُّرا، لكتاباته ذلك الغموض اللّذيذ، ولروحه النّقيّة وقلبه الدّافِئ ذلك الأثر الّذي يترك بصمته العميقة في كلماته. المجدُ للمُجِدّ، والدّرب للسّائر، والنّهاية لمن يملكها!
