مغمض العينين قليلا يستمتع بالهواء الطلق ورائحه الحقول مع نسمات الصباح على الرغم انها باردة بعض الشىء لكنها نسمات اكثر دفىء من هواء اوروبا وبردها القارس الذى التهم مفاصله بمرض الروماتيزم ، كانت الشمس تغيب تاره وتظهر تاره اخرى وفى ظهورها كانت تذيب ثلج بريطانيا المكنون فى قلبه ،ايقظه صفير القطار ففتح عينه القى نظره على المحيطين فيه فى القطار ثم نظر الى الطريق بالجوارتتنقل نظراته الى تأمل المساحات الواسعه من الحقول تاره والمنازل والاشخاص السائرين تاره اخرى، تتبدل المشاهد من نافذه صغير فتتبادل معها الذكريات فى راسه ثم يعود يلقى نظره على هؤلاءالركاب بالقطارالذين يتأملون وجهه ويتهامسون فيما بينهم ،فملامحه تحمل هويتة المجهوله لهم لكنهم متيقنين انه رجل اجنبى لا ينتمى الى ارض البشره الخمريه،يبدوا من تاملاته انه جديد العهد على ارضهم تسربت همساتهم الى اذنه :لما جاء الى مصر؟ ويركب قطار درجه ثالثه مع الفقراء ومثله يمتلكون اموال طائله تكفيهم لشراء سياره خاصه للسفر بها او ركوب قطار درجه اولى ، قرا فى عيونهم تساؤلات تخطر فى وجدانهم فابتسم واشاح بوجهه بعيدا عنهم الى الشباك ليروى لهم هو ايضا بايتسامته وعقله الذى يعيد ذكريات تلك المغامره التى على وشك اثبات ان كان مجنون حقا كما يخبره الناس ام انه على وشك اكتشاف عالم لم يؤمن به قط فى حياته.
