ما زال تجديد الخطاب الديني محصورًا في شكل بروتكولي في المحافل حيث تنطلق الكلمات البليغة الرنانة من أعلى المنصات كردِّ فعل على خطاب الجماعات، وينتهى التجديد بانتهاء الفاعلية الإنشائية أمام الكاميرات، ويغيب التفكير النقدي والتساؤل المستمر المقدمة الضرورية لتجديد خطابنا الديني الذي أصيب بدوغمائية نتيجة التباسه بالنص المقدس، فانتزع الخطاب قداسة مغلوطة تشعرنا بالحرج عن إخضاعه لمنهج البحث النقدي، وأصبحت دراستنا اختصارا لشرح أو إيجازا لمُفصَّل أو توفيقا بين المستجدات وأقوال القدامى دون أي محاولة نقدية لتفكيك وتحليل تلك الخطابات بوصفها رسائل لغوية، وفهم بشري للنص الديني بعيدا عن التعالي أو التبرير أو تثبيت المعنى عند فهم بعينه وترويجه كأنه المعنى الوحيد المطابق لمراد الله، مما أعطى للمنتج البشري سلطة الإلهي، فأمست كل محاولة لنقد أفكار تديين الدولة متهمة بأنها نقد للإسلام، وتجمّد العقل المسلم الذي آثر الانكفاء على نفسه ممجِّدًا ذاته، ومنزِّها تاريخه فردوسه المفقود. أخيرا الكتاب محاولة لإعادة الإنسان مرة أخرى؛ ليكون فاعلا في بناء دولته، فليس الله المكلف من الإنسان لتقديم التفاصيل ومواكبة التطورات ومواجهة متغيرات الحاضر واستشراف آفاق المستقبل والعمل لها، إن التجديد الحقيقي للخطاب الديني يبدأ من إعادة بناء تصورنا حول كيفية عمل اللغة، فهي حاملة الوحي المقدس، ووسيلتنا الوحيدة في اكتشاف العلاقة بين الله والإنسان والعالم، فلن نستطيع بناء تصورات فاعلة في علاقتنا بالكون والخروج من هوة السقوط الحضاري دون إعادة النظر في طريقة تعاملنا مع اللغة.
