"دمية كوكوشكا" رواية يأخذك بواسطتها الكاتب البرتغالي أفونسو كروش، في مغامرةٍ أشبه بمتاهةٍ؛ خطوطُها "متوازية مستقيمة لكنّها تلتقي"، وقد ضرب فيها عنق الزّمان بسهم الأدب فاستحال الخيالُ واقعاً، ألم يقل كروش على لسان إحدى شخصيّاته: "لا شيء لم يفعله الأدب سابقاً"؟!... فأبطال هذه الرّواية ليسوا "ظلالا من ظلال كهف أفلاطون بل هم أكثر كمالاً من الإنسان وأفضل في كلّ شيء"، لأنّهم لا ينظرون إلى العالم "من خلال زجاج متّسخ"!...
وليس في نهاية تلك المتاهة سواك؛ أنت المرهق بهاجسٍ كالّذي في رأس "توماس بوبا"، أنت المشرّد في مضايق الوجود تَجهَد للخروج من تناقضك بسعيك إلى توحيد الأقطاب المتنافرة: الموت والحياة، الحبّ والكره، الحرب والسّلم، الخير والشرّ، الواقع والخيال، الصّوت والصدّى، الماضي والمستقبل، الــ "أنا" و"الآخر"... وبالذّات هذا الآخر الذي يصنع وجودك أنت ويشهد عليه، ولولاه ما أُدركت...
هذه الرّواية "أسطورة أدبيّة" بمعنى الكلمة التّامّ، موادّها استعارات بعيدة ورموز اشتقّها كروش من عناصر الكون الكبرى وصاغها في "غابة سرد" مسالكها مذهلة لبناء رؤية تفتح على صيغة وجود فذّة "لا تغمض فيها عينك لتنام بل لترى".
