يشرف على الملحق الأدبي L’Orient littéraire.
له روايات عدّة بالفرنسية تُرجِمَت إلى العربية، منها "دروب الهجرة"، "الفلكي"، "مدرسة الحرب"، "جبران خليل جبران" الذي تُرجم إلى لغات عديدة.
أشرف على "الأعمال الكاملة" لجبران الصادرة باللغة الفرنسية.
ونال جوائز عدّة في لبنان وفرنسا، منها جائزة سعيد عقل، وجائزة المطران إغناطيوس مارون، وجائزة آسيا للآداب، وجائزة البحر الأبيض المتوسّط، وجائزة من الأكاديمية الفرنسية.
ولد في بيروت في 5 شباط 1967 هو محامي وكاتب وروائي وناقد ادبي لبناني , انهى تعليمه الثانوي في مدرسة سيدة الجمهور بعدها قام بدراسة القانون في جامعة باريس 2 وهناك تخصص بالقانون البنكي والمالي , هو مؤلف لأكثر من 30 كتاب بالاضافة الى الشعر .
هو أيضا كاتب عمود وناقد ادبي في "L'Orient littéraire" .
يعيش في بيروت وايضا في باريس.
حصل على جائزة المتوسط (Prix Méditerranée) عن كتابه فينيسيا (Phenicia) بالاضافة الى حصوله على جائزة هيرفي دولوين (Hervé Deluen) من الأكاديمية الفرنسية, والعديد من الجوائز اللبنانية والعالمية.

"هذا القاموس لا يشبه سائر القواميس. فهو قاموس شخصي وذاتيّ يتضمّن الأمور المحبّبة في قلب الكاتب أو الراسخة في ذاكرته...
لا شكّ أن لبنان، الذي يقع عند تقاطع قارات ثلاث وسط شرق أوسط متأجّج باستمرار، هو معجزة مستمرّة. تُحيّرنا قدرته على الصمود، وقدرة سكّانه على الوقوف مجدّداً على أقدامهم، فيعيدون صباحاً بناء ما دمّره العنف ليلاً، واستمرار صيغة العيش المشترك بين ثماني عشرة طائفة دينية متضاربة الولاءات والأفكار...
... لا بدّ لي من التذكير بأن المداخل والنُبذ الواردة ضمن هذا القاموس ليست بمنزلة موسوعة، بل تعكس رؤيتي للموضوع المطروح من منظار ذاتي. فقد تركتُ حبّي للبنان يقودني بحريّة مطلقة وأنا أعلم علم اليقين أنني لن أرضي القارئ إن أغفلت شخصية أو محلّة عزيزة على قلبه. فليعذرني سلفاً لأن مفهوم هذا القاموس "المزاجيّ والفوضوي" يتيح الإغفال والتفضيل"!.
