أول إصدار أدبي للكاتبة عبارة مجموعة خواطر متفرقة ويبقى المعنى في ذهن المؤلفة. تتشكل القصائد في نثر غير منظوم لا يخضع لقواعد التفعيلة وهو عبارة عن 111 صفحة من القطع الصغير. قال عن الكاتبة الراحل عبد الله الجفري كتقديم : "دخلت كلمات هذه الكاتبة الملفتة بسمة السيوفي إلى قراءاتي فلم أعرف في البدء كيف أصنفها: شاعرة، قاصّة، حوارية؟ أعدتُ قراءتها منذ استلفتتني بكلماتها وصورها الإبداعية وبقيت أتابع انتشار ضوء كلماتها. إنها قاصّة، رسامة..كلمات ألوانها: المعاني والصور! نضوج ابداعاتها فكرة وفكرة كتاباتها:الإنسان مضرجاً في الحزن! لغتها الحقيقة حين تقدر على التمييز بين المنطق وخصوبة التفكير. صوتها: يحاول ارتقاء سلالم الشعر، وليست هذ الإرتقاءات مشكلتها.. لكنها عرفت موطن موهبتها فكرسّت المحاولة، ثم الخلق (للتعبير): حواراً، قصة، إبداعاص ينحت صورة، أو يلون لوحة من الكلمات. إنها كاتبة تنبت في كل مرة من موج البحر الأحمر، لتكتب على شواطيء مدينتها (جدة): ما يعيه الرمل قبل الإنسان. فما هو الأكثر بعداً من الكلمات؟ كأن صورها تفايل ذلك الموج، ومعانيها تجتاز الغبار الهائج لتمحو الغربة عن صدر الإنسان.
