توقّفت وسائلي عن جدوى البحث فى أمر هذا الحادث كربلاء ومقتل الحسين عليه السلام. ولأن البحث فى هذا الامر متنوعّ وله خصوصيّة وبُعد دينى ونفسي وإنساني وتاريخي، وبعيداً عن الحكايا والأساطير وتأجيج نار القلب الموجع وازدياد حزنى على من قُتل وفتك به ونهب ومُزَّق وتحطّمت أضلاعه وضلوع من كانوا معه ولآنّ هزّة الأجسام الطاهرة التى هى بقايا طهر من زمن وليّ وقفل. إنها المأساة المجرّدة من أيّ زيف وكم أودّ ألّا استخدم قاموس الكلمات التى خطّها آلاف الكتّاب والمنشدين الرائعين والبارعين والحكماء والمتخصصين البكائيين واللطّامين الذين يلطمون ويبكون حتى الآن على خطيئة الأجداد السالفين التى أظنها لاتغتفر، بل إنها تزداد عاماً بعد عاماً لأنها اُمّ المآسي. وإنّ الأمّة كلّها تحجّ الي مكان المأساة كلّ عام وان لم يكن كلهم فهم كثر بالحدّ الذي نقول إنّ به إجماعاً على تذكرّ الحدث ثمّ أجدنى مسلوب الإرادة والقدرة على التوقّف، بل أنهل من هذا الرحيق وأغوص فى اغوار كلّ الدروب وأعثر على ما فيها وما جرى فيها. الأمر جدّ فى نفسي بل أذوب ذوباً لم أعهده ولم يكن بي عهد به وأجدنى ادور فى هذا وأحقّق وأدقّق بل أتحسّس. وفى أحيان كثيرة أتمنى أن اهتدي إلى ماهو تحديداً مرادي وغرضي واحتياجى وأحياناً أحلم أن يكون لي دور أيّ دور أيّاً كان ثمّ يشغلنى تماماً ماهية هذا الدور هل أكتب عن الحدث وأسبابه. أجيب ذاتى.
فعلها غيري وأجاد. ثم إننى لست باحثاً متخصِّصاً فقط أنا محبّ ذائب فى هذا الحدث هائم في هذا الحبّ والوله بل قل الاستغراق التامّ دون هوادة وسرعان ما أقول لأقنع ذاتى إنّه البحث ثمّ أسال أيّ أصول أتبع؟ وما هى آلياته؟ و أيّ الطرق والدروب أسلك؟!
وأجدنى حائراً أودّ أن أحيط علماً ودراسة وبحثاً ونهلاً واستعين بكل ماهو متاح وغير متاح من شعر وقصص ونثر أو أقوال ومأثورات وحكي وأقوال مفكرين وعلماء وباحثين. ولا يفوتنى أنّ الكثير قالوا ما قالو وأنّ أنهاراً من العبرات ذرفت وقطعت القلوب بل تمزّقت وما زالت وتلاها الأجساد ومازالت ثم هات ماعندك من قول فقد قيل عنه ما قيل وبه وله ومن أجله فقد قيلت كلّ الأشياء بكلّ اللغات وكلّ المجالات والدراسات.
