تتردد أصداء كلماته على مسامعي، أسترجع عباراته في ذهني مثل شريط تسجيل .. لماذا يريد آخر ما كتبت؟ هل يريد أن يرى آثار بصمات لقائنا على كتاباتي أم أنه يريد أن يقرأ لهاث أفكاري المحتارة ما بين حبي القوي له، وبين كرامتي كزوجة فضل زوجها عليها أخرى أياً كانت أسباب ذلك؟؟
شديداً في عواطفه اليائسة .. جامحاَ في حنانه الجياش كان وداعه لي، بلغت قمة التأثر، ولكن لدهشتي الشديدة لم تنزل دمعة واحدة من عيني، بل بقيت في حالة من الذهول والصراع الداخلي.
بعد خروجه مباشرة شعرت برغبة طاغية في الوقوف أمام النيل. قدت سيارتي في سرعة مجنونة لا أدري كيف وصلت، حين وجدت نفسي في شارع النيل.
في شوارع الاسفلت المنداة برضاب المدينة لاحقني حزن عينيه، كأنني أبتعد بسرعتي المجنونة بعيداً عنه .. وبعيداً عن ذاتي لكن عاطفتي تنكفئ في حسرة، يتوسل قلبي يطالبني باستدراك الأمر، باللحاق به ووداعه في المطار، فينتهره عقلي .. وحزن عينيه يطاردني في أزقة وشوارع المدينة الضائعة، تحت هجير الشمس اللافحة، وسموم حارقة تفح بها الأرض وترسلها ريحاً جافة مثل شواظ من جهنم تحرق الوجوه والأمزجة، أجلد ذاتي عشرين سوطاً من بطان عرس القبيلة وأذبح نفسي بشفرات كرامة أنثوية ساذجة توارثناها في بلاهة.
أقف أمام النيل، أكنُّ عنده، أستقطع جسراً من صمتٍ مشحون أرصف به طريقاً ما بين عقلي وقلبي .. أحس بأن النيل يعاتبني .. أقرض بأسناني شفتي السفلى وعتاب النيل يحمله الموج رقيقاً ثم غاضباً .. والزبد الأبيض يضرب أقدامي. أحاول الهرب من صدى تنغيم صوت عاصم الهامس المترفق.. المتخم بشجو الحديث..لكنه يتعملق في كياني.
