غزة التى غادرتها قبل سبع سنوات لأدرس الطب فى تونس لم تتغير على حين عدت إليها قبل سنتين، لكنى الآن وأنا أمشى فى شوارعها أشعر بأن قيامة صغيرة جربت طقوسها فيها، هذه المدينة كانت لا تشبه غيرها قبل الحرب، وبعد الحرب أصبحت كما هى لا تشبه غيرها أيضا لكنها تغيرت.. فى طريقى الذى أقطعه من حى النصر إلى مستشفى الشفاء يسرقنى وقتٌ لا يُعد بعد أن كان لا يتجاوز العشر دقائق فى أزحم الحالات، فى الطريق نفسه الذى كان جنة متواضعة وُلِدَت نكبات جديدة جعلتنى أتساءل عن الذنب الذى اقترفناهُ لنحيا كل هذه الحروب! لِمَ نحن بالذات؟ لِمَ كل هذا الموت والخراب؟ لِمَ نحن وحدنا مجبرون على تحمل أخطاء غيرنا وحساباتهم غصبا؟ فيرتدّ الخَرَسَ شامتا «اخرس وانتبه لعينيكَ حين تلقطان الحياة، تلك التى يحياها الأطفال رغم كل ما يحصل، وتتقبلها عجائز المخيم كأنها نكبة مؤقتة ستزول». تُغرينى غزة- حتى فى خرابها- حين ترتدى ثوبًا خاصا، أخاف أن أموت فيها أكثر من أن أموت لأجلها، المدن التى نحبها علينا أن نشعر بها لا أن نلمسها، لأننا إن فعلنا ذلك سنحترق ببطء، مثلما تحرقنا غزة الآن مع كل لمسة مخيفة للزيادة الكبيرة فى عدد النازحين الذين أتوا- وما زالوا- ليحتموا من الموت فى المدارس وتحت جدران المستشفيات، يعتقدون أنها أكثر أمنا فيما لوقابلوا أهلهم فى ديرالبلح سينفون لهم اعتقادهم بعد أن هُدمت على رءوسهم جدران مستشفى «شهداء الأقصى» وسقط منهم من سقط بين شهيد وجريح..
