عن حياته
اشتهر بأداء الأدوار الكوميدية السياسية، الجدير بالذكر أن الفنان أحمد عيد ساهم بدور بسيط للغاية في فيلم حلق حوش ولم يلحظه أغلب المشاهدين نظرا لنحالته ونحافته الشديدة فقد ساهم بدور حارس أمن البنك ثم وطد صداقته بعدها بالفنان محمد هنيدى واشترك بدور يسيط في فيلم صعيدى في الجامعة الأمريكية وعن طريق الفنانة ليلى علوي تعرف على الفنان أحمد رزق الذي شاركها في مسرحية الجميلة والوحوش.

"فى نهاية العام 2010 و بداية العام 2011 إندلعت فى كل الدول العربية تقريباً إحتجاجات تحدت الأنظمة الشائخة، و هى الإحتجاجات التى تحولت جزئياً إلى ثورات شعبية و قد تم الإطاحة بصناع القرار الرئيسيين ، و قيادة مرحلة إنتقالية فى أربع بلدان ( مصر و اليمن و ليبيا و تونس ) ، فى غيرهم من البلدان ، مثل : الأردن بدأت عملية إصلاح شاملة ،إلا أنها لم تمس مع ذلك الأساس الذى يقوم عليه النظام ، و ضيقت صلاحيات الحكام بشكل غير مباشر ، و تم قمع الإحتجاجات فى البحرين عسكرياً، فيما تصاعد الوضع فى سوريا و ليبيا إلى حرب أهلية دموية، و قد نجح الحكام فى الدول الملكية العربية و الجزائر فى إضعاف الإحتجاجات ، على الأقل مؤقتاً، عبر المزج بين إجزال العطاء و المنحّ و الإصلاحات الطفيفة .
بعد أربع سنوات من بدء الإضطرابات فى العالم العربى لم تشهد دولة من الدول المذكورة إستقراراً دائماً ، كما أنه لم توجد دولة من الدول التى بدأت قيادة مرحلة إنتقالية، وصلت مرحلتها الإنتقالية إلى إرساء الديموقراطية الليبرالية. تُرى كيف سارت الأمور من وجهة نظر مراكز الأبحاث الغربية ."
