أسألك أو تسألني أيها الشهيد. عن الحب في سنوات الحروب. عن معنى الموت والحب في دخان يتطاير أو أشلاء تتناثر. أبكيك أم أبكي نفسي المهدورة الدم. أنتظرك طويلا أو ألحق بك إلى منفى اللحد. ماذا يقول صدري وتلك الذراعان، وهذا الجسد وفي داخله قلب ينبض يضخ بالدم. لمن بقاياي التي تعيش من خلايا الحياة؟ إن لم تكن لك أنت. أن لم تنجب منك ولداً. وما نفع أجزائي المجمعة إن لم أبنِ بها معك سكنًا يضمني إليك. تلك سجادتي فرغت من عبادة ربي. وذلك فراشي كيف لي بأداء العبادة عليه، وأنت في كفن تحملك الأكتاف. أيها الشهيد. اعزف لحن الخلود وانسل خيوطا مع العذراء لأثواب الشهداء ربما دون أن تدري تخيط لي ثوبي.
