"إن الغرض الرئيسي من استعراض التجربة الإندونيسية هو استكشاف كيفية الاستفادة من هذه الخبرة في عملية التحول الديمقراطي والانتقال الآمن والمتدرج نحو الديمقراطية وتداول السلطة بشكل سلمي، في الوقت نفسه الذي تجرى فيه عملية الإصلاح السياسي والدستوري، بشكل يؤدي إلى تفعيل مشاركة كافة المواطنين في الحياة السياسية، مع ضمان احترام كافة الحقوق والحريات الأساسية للمواطنين.
وباستعراض الخبرة الإندونيسية في مجال التحول الديمقراطي والإصلاح السياسي والدستوري والمراحل التي مرت بها هذه التجربة، نجد أنه قد واجهها العديد من الإشكاليات والعقبات.
وقد ركزت تجربة الإصلاح السياسي والدستوري في إندونيسيا على الفصل التام بين السلطات. وتعزيز الممارسات الديمقراطية واحترام حقوق الإنسان الى جانب التحول لنظام اللامركزية بدلا من المركزية.
ومن ثم فهناك اضاءات عدة في التجربة الإندونيسية في الإصلاح الدستوري والديمقراطي لعل اهمها التوجه نحو احترام حقوق الإنسان وحرية التعبير عن الرأي. الى جانب تأسيس العديد من الأحزاب السياسية ( التعددية الحزبية). وتلعب الحكومة الإندونيسية دورا مهما في الحد الصراعات العرقية، من خلال تجريم هذه الممارسات، من خلال ضبط المتهمين وإحالتهم للمحاكمات الجنائية لمعاقبة المخطئين ومرتكبي هذه الجرائم من الشعب الإندونيسي، لكن الحكومة الإندونيسية غير مسئولة عن هذه الأعمال.
ويبقى التأكيد أننا في معرض طرحنا لهذه التجارب الديمقراطية يكون هدفنا الرئيس هو إلقاء الضوء على آليات التحول الديمقراطي وكيفية حدوثه، وما نجم عن تطبيقه من إحداث تغيير جذري في كافة شئون الدولة وصولا لتجربة ناجحة ودروس مستفادة لعلنا نجد في تلك التجارب ما يصلح للتطبيق في مجتمعاتنا.
