سوف أغلق صندوق الأسرار، لن أفتحه أبداً، هكذا قال لنفسه، بعد تلقيه التحذير الواضح من جاسب، وهو في الطريق الى البيت عائدا من رحلة أبو غريب، السجن المركزي للدولة العراقية.
لقد غلقه بالفعل الا في الأحلام، التي تتسرب من خلالها آلام التعذيب، وحشرجة الموتى، وصرخات منتصف الليل، على شكل كوابيس، رافقته منذ اليوم الأول لخروجه، وباقي الزملاء، وكأنه بتكرارها قد فقد مفاتيح التحكم، بذلك الصندوق المقفل فقط في المنام.
المنام أصبح مقلقاً، يخافه سبيلاً لخروج كلمة أو عبارة، يفسرها الجلادون افشاءاً للأسرار، وعدم تنفيذ الأوامر الصادرة بتقييد اللسان.
أنا أعرف طارق جيداً، هو من أبناء قريتي الجمجمة التي أحبها، عرفته منذ زمن طويل، وعرفت الكثير من أسراره، ولم أعرف ما مر به من تجربة مرعبة أثناء سجنه، أدت به الى هذا الانقلاب على الذات... انقلاب كبير، وهو الانسان المبدئي الذي أعرفه غير ميال الى الانقلاب.
