هذا العمل الموسوعي لا يتحدث عن الصبر والمثابرة وطول البال والأناة بوصفهما رد فعلٍ لحدثٍ ما أو لمصيبة أو بلاء حدث، أو وقع ثم عليك التصرف تجاهه، ولكن عن أفعال يجب الالتزام بها فى صورة صبر ومثابرة وطول بال لتحقق هدفاً ما، سواء كان علميًّا أو اجتماعيًّا أو صناعيًّا أو زراعيًّا أو رياضيًّا أي أن تكون فاعلاً وليس مفعولاً به ويحمل نظرية مستقبلية لمفهومى الصبر والمثابرة، ومثال لذلك هو التعريف الزمنى للصبر "وهو إعادة عمل ميزانية جديدة للوقت المتاح لك ولغيرك بالتساوى وهو أن اليوم 24 ساعة" لأن الصبر هو الزاد فى الرحلة المأمولة فى الحياة لخلق التوازن بين الطموحات الإنسانية وتحديات الواقع الخشن، والصبر هو البلسم الشافى الذى يمكنك من تحدى المستحيلات فى سبيل تحقيق الهدف والنتائج المرجوة، والمعنى الاجتماعي للصبر هو أنه فعل، الهدف منه تنظيم رد الفعل على حدث أو موقف ما، والصبر هنا معناه ضبط الاندفاع في رد الفعل على هذا الحدث منعاً للتهور.
