صدر عن منشورات المتوسط كتاب "حكايات بين جعبة وأخرى" للكاتب التشيكي الكبير "كارِل تْشابِك"، التي قام بنقلها من اللغة التشيكية إلى اللغة العربية المترجم الفلسطيني برهان قلق وقدّم لها البروفسور لوبوش كروباتشك من جامعة تشارلز. يتوافق الإعلان عن هذا الكتاب مع ذكرى ميلاد تشابك، 9 يناير 1890. هذه هي الترجمة الأولى لتلك الحكايات باللغة العربية لكاتب يعد من كبار الكتاب العالميين، (في بلاد التشيك، يعرفُ الجميع من هو كارِل تْشابِك؛ التلاميذ يدرسونه في المدارس، فضلاً عن أنّ الكثير من الناس، من مُختلف الأعمار، ما زالوا يقبلون إلى يومنا هذا على قراءة كتبهِ بسُرور ويرتادون المسارح التي تُقدّم أعماله المسرحية في الوقت نفسه الذي خفّ فيه اهتمامُ غالبيتهم بالكتّاب الآخرين من بِدايات القرن العشرين. يُعتبرُ تشابك في عداد الكتاب التشيك الذين تُرجِمَت إبداعاتهم ولا تزال إلى اللغات الأجنبية، والذين حازوا تقديراً في الخارج أيضاً، خاصةً في الدول الناطقة باللغة الإنكليزية. وتؤدي دوراً مهماً في ذلك، ليسَت النكهة الفُكاهية لكتاباتهِ فقط، بل فلسفتها الإنسانية أيضاً، وكذلك الثقة بالجانب الطيّب في الناس وهَواجس التحذير من المَخاطر التي يحملها العالم المُعاصر في طيّاته) من مقدمة البروفسور الدكتور لوبوش كروباتشك للكتاب.
