ولد المؤلف احمد بدر نصار في قرية ميت نما بمحافظة القليوبية ؛ وحصل على بكالوريوس الاعلام من جامعة مصر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا ؛ وصدر له اول كتاب وهو عمره 14 عاما بعنوان " موسوعة نصار الثقافية " ثم صدر كتابه الثاني " تتار القرن الواحد والعشرين " والذي تحدث فيه عن أزمة الصراع العربي الاسرائيلي ؛ ثم صدر له كتاب بعنوان اسرار 70 عاما من حياة طبيب عسكري عام 2009م ثم صدر له الرقص على جسد يتألم مجموعة قصصية عام 2014م ثم صدر له " كافر يسكن الجنة " عام 2015م ، ومن ثم رواية " مجرم في حراسة الموتى " عام 2016 ، ومن ثم كتاب فكري بعنوان "الإسلام والعرب وإنقاذ اليهود من الفناء " عام 2018

رصد الرواية التي تقع في 230 صفحة من القطع المتوسطة، مجموعة كبيرة من أمراض المجتمع، وعلى رأسها الفساد السياسي، والزواج العرفي بين السياسة والاقتصاد، وتدني المستوى الأخلاقي في المجتمع، وتغول أصحاب النفوذ والسلطان.
وتجسد الرواية من خلال شخصياتها المختلفة وصراعاتهم المستمرة، دورة حياة الإنسان المصري، في قرية وهمية تدعى "ميت صوفيا"، تعد صورة مصغرة من المجتمع الريفي في مصر، وفيها يرسم المؤلف صورة قاتمة للبرلماني الفاسد الذي يسيء استغلال منصبه، والعمدة المتجبر الذي يتكئ على نفوذ زوج ابنته المستشار المخضرم فيعيث فسادًا، وابن الغفير الذي يجاهد ليعيش، فيتورط في صراع غير متكافئ الفرص، ربما لا يكون بعض شخصيات الرواية من الجدة بمكان، إلا أن سرد نصار يستخدم هذه الشخصيات بحبكة جديدة، حبكة تجد نفسك أمامها تدين المجرم لكنك لا يسعك إلا أن تتعاطف معه في الوقت ذاته، وهكذا تعد الرواية عبر سنينها الأربعين – فترة أحداث الرواية - بمثابة قصيدة رثاء في العدالة، العدالة الغائبة عن الأحداث منذ السطور الأولى، والتي نظل نبحث عنها مبهوري الأنفاس آملين أن نعر عليها، حتى نصل للكلمة الأخيرة.
