حصل ستيفن ر. كوفى على جائزة الابوة من منظمه المبادرة الوطنيه للابوة عام 2003 كما حصل على بكالوريوس فى علوم ادارة الاعمال من جامعه يوتاة , كما حصل على شهادة الماجيستير فى ادارة الاعمال من جامعه هارفارد وحصل على الدكتوراة فى التعليم الد ينى من جامعه بيرجهام يانج . وكان مدير مؤسسه فرانكلين كوفى
ألف ستيفن ر. كوفى الكثير من الكتب اشهرها كتاب (العادات السبع للناس الأكثر فعالية) الذى يعتبر من أكثر الكتب مبيعا فى العالم , وكتاب (العادة الثامنة)

إن هذا الكتاب عبارة عن مجموعة من مقالات والدي المتنوعة وغير المعروفة والتي لم تظهر قط في شكل كتاب. لكنها من أهم مقالات "ستيفن كوفي"، وتحتوي على بعض من أفضل أفكاره؛ لذا ظننت أنا وزملائي أنه من الملائم مشاركتها مع العالم. إنني أكتب هذه المقدمة وقد مر على وفاة والدي ثلاث سنوات. لكن عند قراءتك هذه المقالات ستسمع صوته الحاد الثاقب يتحدث إليك. وهذه المقالات لم يمسها أحد فعليًّا منذ كتابتها. وقد قمنا ببساطة بدمجها في كتاباته عن عيش حياة المجد الرئيسي. لقد كتب والدي بعض هذه المقالات في أثناء تأليفه كتاب العادات السبع للناس الأكثر فعالية*، ومن المثير أن ترى بهذه المقالات أساس الأفكار التي قد غيرت عالم التجارة منذ ذلك الحين، بل وغيرت حياة ملايين الأشخاص أيضًا. لكن هذا الكتاب ليس إعادة لما ورد بكتاب العادات السبع؛ فهو يشتمل على أفكار جديدة تتعلق بالانتقال من الحياة التي نقضيها منهمكين في فخاخ النجاح الخارجية إلى الحياة التي تسودها راحة البال والرضا والحكمة.
